SATYAM

SATYAM-The Truth

Human life if highly valuable and great. Even God, to actualise high objectives had to opt human birth. Such a wonderful the human life is.

We have seen people who had influenced the whole universe with their unique personality. We had seen Mahatma Gandhi who lead the indian nation with the help of his mind-power. We know even Patel who was famous for his courageous heart. We all have seen NTR, who stood as a symbol for the self respect of telugu people and could come into power within a miraculous time.

Everyone, how great he or she may be, was recognised so in view of a few glorious angles or aspects of their personality. In other words, one may be highly reputed, but some day, sometime for one or other reason, may be in a different aspect, put to serious criticism. That may be because of his own fault / incidental / situational or out of time. We have seen many such reputed people even around us.

Human life is earmarked between life and death. The period between these is life. Not only this, in every aspect of life, we face dilemma....good-bad; legal-illegal; moral-immoral; dharma-adharma; peace-violence etc. Our life moves between this type of duality always. Whoever is successful in balancing these things in accordance to the time and situation, their life is considered to be successful.

But as was said already, no ones life is totally victorious and cannot be even. Why because that is decided by the duality of life. The difference between such things is very minute and delicate. The one which we feel morally correct, may not be legally fit. The one which we find legal, might be immoral to someone else. The same happens even in the case of our personal life. But there its impact is limited to our family members at large. But social and economic fields are very complicated as they are concerned with crores of people and so there the impact is multiplied accordingly. While taking decision which one to choose, there may be a mistake, knowingly or unknowingly. But its impact will definitely exist....if not today..tomorrow and if not tomorrow.. the next year. It is like a small wound to the feet, which if neglected in time may lead to amputation. It is the duty of an intellectual to realise it in time and rectify. IF necessary till such time one should halt all the activities.

But human mentality is such that he keeps on convincing him-self that its effect is not there, neither today nor tomorrow and if at all it is there, he can conceal it forever. It is like a cat closing its eyes while drinking milk. As the time passes by, the pressure of this concealing keeps on multiplying. Finally to such an extent that he has to spare all his capacities just to maintain it confidential, rather than to attend the main work. Thus the main stream of work comes to a halt. As a result it becomes uncontrollable finally. This situation is the UNCONTROLLABLE TIGER that was said to be ridden by the King..Raju for years together. Will there be any use of repentance while riding the Uncontrollable Tiger. While getting on its back, one should realise that it is a Tiger. If such a realisation is lacking in a common man..O.K.., if it faded for a short period of time, it can be understood; but he is not an ordinary man; he is King of Kings..Raa..Raaju in IT field; man of stability in all situations; a man who paved golden future for thousands of youth over number of countries.....such a great man saying that he has been riding the UNCONTROLLABLE TIGER for years together; ....and that only two options are left for him-- either to kill it or to be killed; and that having realised that he cannot kill it, it was decided to become a prey for it....is quite unbelievable and so mind-blocking. It is very sorrowful situation for lakhs of investors and thousands of employees to become victims for none of their faults, but for kings innocence. In fact this is the serious aspect of this episode due to social concern. It is the duty of the investigating agencies to find out who that TIGER is. Unfortunately if such agencies also stoop down to prove their subordination to the TIGER, then as usual the same story continues.

But in my opinion, the TIGER is nothing but the overwhelming confidence of human being. Being ignorant of ones limitations is the TIGER. Feeling.... that he can do anything; that nothing is impossible for him; that every thing can be achieved by money....is the TIGER. Ignoring our limitations; nullifying our social role and thinking that we ourselves are everything for our lives...the pride..is the root cause of our actual downfall and destruction. Money by itself is nothing. It is one of the main helping factors to achieve many of our goals. Thus it is only an instrument. But now, in illusion, man is progressing towards the instrument, but not towards the real goal. After a very prolonged pain and strain in such an illusion, he achieves something and finds it to be entirely different from the real goal. As the way is changed, the goal also changed without our knowledge. This is... NOT KNOWING THAT IT IS A TIGER, WHILE SITTING ON ITS BACK.

So, man should not forget the truth of life. He should confine himself to the limitations. Social responsibility should not be neglected. It should be accepted by heart that violation of law is an unpardonable crime. Should always keep up self-respect and should never promote shamelessness. Should accept the fact that how great one may be...cannot be an exception to law for all the time. He should be disciplined and responsible proportionate to his social status and relations. Should intelligently observe that those who are around are...the jackal, the bear, the tiger or the dog? Should not forget that his investment is the trust of lakhs of people and his skill is the spirit of thousands of youth. Each step of victory should keep him further alert and cautious.

He should act within his concerned fields and capacities. He should identify the level where he feels real satisfaction. The disturbance caused beyond that point should be identified immediately. One should try to avoid such disturbance honestly, but not to suppress or to conceal. Otherwise to limit his activities to that level. Efforts to be made to achieve further while honestly enjoying what we have achieved already. What do we have... what do we lack...what do we want...does further attempt gives real happiness without any adverse impact on the happiness of what we have now....all these questions he should ask himself. Man should make a habit to search for real happiness in him-self. Then the outward illusion cannot detrack him at all. So , he can be metured to be happy in every situation. Self analysis is the best remedy for all this. Without that everything around us is mere illusion--- illusion that we are happy. The tragedy that what we know is only today's tragedy of getting the king behind bars; but it is only the king who knows the great tragedy WHILE RIDING AN UNCONTROLLABLE TIGER FOR YEARS TOGETHER. Then, let us imagine , ...the king is really happy all these years ???

Guru

Guru
The Guru, a very inspiring personality, a very respected position and a very holy relation. Not only in the ancient days, even in the previous generation, the position of Guru is very much respected and honoured. We know about Ekalavya, a great archer, who did not hesitate even for a moment to sacrifice his thumb, a very important part of the body for an archer specifically, when demanded by his 'imaginary' guru Dronacharya. In fact Guru Dronacharya did not accept Ekalavyaa as his student for the reason that he belongs to low caste, and so did not teach him any thing. But it is Ekalavya, despite of that, honoured and worshipped him as Guru and keeping his idol before practised archery. Such 'nistha' and belief for guru made him equal to Arjun in archery.

As we know, even sant Kabir gave top priority for Guru. Mostly he placed Guru equal to God and sometimes he said Guru is far above God. In one doha/poem, he expressed his dilemma and even gave conclusion after a logical discussion. It has been our tradition to salute, when ever some elder comes in our way. In the days of Kabir, salutation is not just waving right hand above in the air, by which now-a-days we are saluting even thousands of people at a time. It used to be making Saastanga Namaskara, that is spreading our body upside down on the ground while making namaskara extending two hands and joining two palms, so as asta anga of ourbody touch the groud while making Namaskara. This way only one can be saluted at a time.

When once Kabir is about to move out, he said, Guru and God came opposite to him standing side by side. He has to salute them. Both came from the same side, together and standing side by side. Whom to salute first...that was the problem Kabir faced then. If chooses Guru first, then God may feel something and if God is chosen, Guru may feel something. That was the dilemma he faced. Then he went on thinking deep in the matter. In those days there are several ways of attaining God, like through Bhakti, prema, Gnana etc. Kabir stongly believes that God can be achieved by Gnana/Knowledge. It is only Knowledge that takes us to God. Such Knowledge is given by Guru. Hence without Guru no Knowledge, and without knowledge no question of reaching God. If there is no knowledge , even God is helpless in our issue..according to Kabir path. So Guru is the media between sishya and God. Such guru gave kabir such a knowledge that God himself has chosen to come down to the doorsteps of Kabir along with Guru. Hence, Kabir came to the conclusion that Guru is greater, because it is only he who made the God come to his house. So, he decided to Salute the Guru first and then God.Thus, in several instances, Kabir said Guru is far above God. He even said..Guru bin koun batavai maarg.

Now-a-days, Guru. Mostly Guru is not Guru and Guru is not considered as Guru. Mostly people have forgotten the term Guru in its original sense and the same term is being used for a friendly and very informal addressing.. saying.. hello guru, how aru u..not seen now a days? Though in several schools and colleges, the sloka...Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Gurur devo Maheswaraha; Guru ssakshatParabrahma, Tasmai Sri Guravenamaha...is recited, it remains just oral recitation. No true sense of it is made known to the younger generation and for that neither schools/colleges nor parents find time. All are busy in education-industry and production of marks and ranks. Parents are busy in making efforts in making money and investing the same for the career of their wards. Thus the education became just an instrument to mint money.

In this process ultimate aim of life is getting changed. Money which is supposed to be the instrument/comforter in reaching the ultimate goal of life i.e peace and happiness, is gradually becoming ultimate goal by itself. As a result, parents became just sponsors/bankers and Guru remained just instructor. Education became a good business. Teachers are not recognised for their knowledge and values, but for their hard-work, politeness and are paid accordingly. Art of teaching is forgotten and only art of training valued. Hence Guru is not Guru now. No faith and no nistha and no belief in Guru. No sacred relation or love between guru and sishya. Guru became sir and sishya became student. The result is seen today..no value for any relation, everything in terms of money, for that wife and husband staying away for the sake of job, children are left aloof in boarding school for both parents are employed, for all these reasons no one to lookafter old parents, hence money is paid and they are sent to old age homes.Surprising thing is that even the old parents have started feeling that there is no other way except that, in view of the bright future of their children and grand children.

What a pitiable situation. The way itself became the goal. Downfall of Guru status and commercialisation of education system is the root cause for all this, in my opinion.

MOTHER...The C.E.O of the Family

MOTHER....The Chief Executive Officer
Mother....The sweetest name in the world. The unforgettable feeling in the life of everyone..
The inevitable relation, the most reliable person in the life is mother. The child at the earliest stage knows nothing except crying when it feels some discomfort and smiling when it is happy. That is the stage mother starts the child teaching something knowingly or unknowingly. The only two feelings the child knows multiply gradually into number of emotions like anger, jealousy, love, hatred etc..Shaping of these emotions is in accordance to the reaction of mainly mother and other surrounding near and dear, to the actions of the child. As the mother is closely attached to the child always, all such actions and reactions are closely watched / guided and monitored mainly by mother. Thus, these actions and related reactions finally frame the character of the child. His feelings and emotions take the shape of thoughts gradually; and from there these thoughts take the shape of words; and these words shape into actions and these actions take the shape of habits of the child. And these habits take the shape of his character and thus the same character decides the destiny of that individuals life finally. Thus the total base of someones life is mainly mother.Of course, the influence of zeans and surroundings are also said to be main factors of once character. But how he responds to the surroundings is mainly based on the basic habits laid by mother. And the ratio of the influence of zeans can be decreased, in case of necessity, by increasing the influence of surrounds and brought up. The role of father and other close members of the family in it cannot be denied totally, but no doubt in saying that all such influences are supplementary and secondary. That is the Reason Why mother is given the place of Ist guru. and it is only after her the role of father and guru comes saying...Maatrudevo Bhava, Pitrudevo Bhava and Aacharyadevo Bhava. If a child grows into great and good citizen, the credit goes mainly to mother. In other case, even the blame comes to her first and so the people generally blame him on her name. Such is the responsibility of a mother.Besides keeping up this, she has to serve all the members of the family playing different roles like husband, daughter-in-law,sister-in-law etc. that too in this male dominant society. In any role if she fails to satisfy the concerned to their expectations, no doubt, she will be disturbed accordingly. Thus she has to play all these roles very efficiently, tactfully and patiently. She influences all the members of the family at large. Without her proper service and affection, husband cannot function his duty up to the mark. Her breeze of affection makes him face any kind of task very easily. Now-a-days many of the mothers are working women. For them job is an additional duty.It does not exempt them from any kind of duty or responsibility. And in case woman is not working,if someone asks what your mother is doing, it is mostly replied that no..she doesn't do any thing. In polished words she is termed "Housewife".But let us review the work done by her, the responsibility she takes up, the patience she applies, the coordination she made with all the members of the family and the tactics she shows without hurting any member of the family, physical work and time management.....All this is noting less than the work of a big-boss in a corporate office. Then instead of simply terming her housewife, why cannot she be titled.. MOTHER...The C.E.O of the Family.

Bad Time

It seems very bad time. Very dynamic and hopeful youth are seen ending their valuable life in a very sorrowful manner. Everyday this type of news, somewhere, in someway, come to our view.
Is life such an ordinary thing? So far no one made them realise the value of life? Do they think they themselves are only concerned for their life,.. no one else? The parents who gave birth and brought them up with a lot of pain and strain but with much more affection....are nothing to do anything with the lives of their children? What do these young people think? If they die just for the love of a girl/boy, then what will be the fate of those lives attatched to them. Let us take pity of such unfortunate parents. In otherway this is also wrong. Let us take, for example , the father of Srinivas, the main accused in Acid case in warangal. On the encounter of his son, he said what had happend is good and proper for his son. and he was reluctant even to collect the dead body of his culprit son. Shall we take pity over such parents for having such a son or should appreciate them for such a practicle strong and realistic stand.

This is the result of lacking moral attitudes in our studies ; not stressing language studies that include literature teaching tradition and culture. Also lacking joint families, no association with grand father/grand mother who used to tell them stories that teach our culture and human values and human relations. Parents are always seen busy in making money and in planning the career of the boy/girl in a top most rate, but they never applied their mind to make they boy/girl a good citizen. All ;the present generation is made so, so there is no value for life, no value for humanity,
What they were taught is "to hit the target without fail, at any cost". That is what they are doing.
They should get what they want, in this issue they do not mind anything else, even the opinion of the otherside whom he/she loves. Either they should get, or none else. The space ship, not properly tuned may not be perfectly in our control. The same in the case of present youth. We are helpless. What a pitiable situation...we/our surround society, the films..are responsible for this situation and at the same time we are helpless.
